Money Mindsets That Can Hold You Back – Ways to Bring Change Now
I spoke with Jaime Campbell, CPA about a topic that can bring joy and angst – money. We discussed how many of us receive money messages – usually in childhood from our parents – that create mindsets about money. These ‘money messages’ can affect how you make decisions at work and at home about how you deal with and relate to money.
Signs that you’re affected negatively by long-held money beliefs:
1. You have “limited” feelings about money
2. You feel guilty about spending money
3. You feel that you can never retire, will never have enough
4. Thinking that if you make too much money, you’re a sellout
5. Debt is wrong, and I’m a bad person because I have so much
Ways to overcome these mindsets are through one-on-one coaching and also group seminars.
Both can transform negative, constraining mindsets into positive feelings about debt, spending and saving money.
