6 Ways to Show Your Customers Some Love

6 Ways to Show Your Customers Some Love

Valentine’s Day has come and gone but that does not mean you stop sharing the love of the people in your life and the customers you serve.

Here are some tried and true lessons learned throughout the business journey.

1. Keep Your Promise

Consistency is everything in running a business and that means keeping your promises at every interaction and transaction. If you say it – mean it, and if you promise it – deliver it.

We work with clients to understand that at every bit of marketing and communication they are developing a strong brand reputation by keeping their promises.

2. Solve their problems

To solve a client’s problems, we first have to know what they are. That takes time and interest in learning more about them. This involves asking questions – lots of them – plus listening, and getting to the heart of the matter.

3. Support what they support

If a client supports an animal shelter with a fundraising activity or event, it’s a good idea to get behind that support too. Maybe donating money is not in the budget, but a shout out on social media or donating a little time to the cause shows you are more than just a vendor to them.

4. Remember your customers’ preferences

Does your client prefer emails over phone calls? Do they like in-person meetings or simple texts? In learning how people like to communicate and manage their day, makes life easier for them. This is a win for everyone.

5. Show your appreciation

We love to be appreciated – and customers are no different. Think about giving your regular customers a special offer, or inviting them to a special event. Throw a customer appreciation party. Expressing gratitude, no matter how large or modest, is always a great way of keeping your relationships strong with your clients.

6. Take a Personal Interest

Do you keep a list of your clients’ birthdays or business anniversaries? These are great opportunities to reach out beyond the transactional conversations you have with your clients. The personal touch is always a memorable one.

As the poet Maya Angelou once said: people may forget what you said or did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
